Em sua segunda passagem pelo Cruzeiro, o atacante Fred marcou pela primeira vez, neste sábado. No duelo entre a Raposa e o Tombense, pela quarta rodada do Campeonato Mineiro, o centroavante balançou as redes e empatou a partida. O gol do camisa 9 contribuiu para a reação do time celeste, que acabouvirando o placar, aos 30 do segundo tempo.

O artilheiro já tinha feito três jogos oficiais desde o início do ano, mas foi só na partida deste sábado que o atacante desencantou. Com passagens pela Raposa entre 2003 e 2004, Fred soma 57 gols com o uniforme azul. O jogador comentou a sensação de voltar a marcar pelo Cruzeiro.

– Primeiro, pouco de alívio de poder dar alegria a esse torcedor, que estava mais ansioso do que eu. Gracas a Deus saiu em uma hora boa. A gente conseguiu uma vitoria importante, em um jogo difícil. Saiu a zica! Agora, é um atras do outro.

Fred também fez questão de enfatizar a participação fundamental do companheiro de equipe na jogada.

– Foi 90% gol do Arrasca. Só tive o trabalho de empurarrra pra rede. Eu acho que vai ser o ano inteiro assim, espero.

O meia, Thiago Neves, revelou que o elenco cruzeirense estava na torcida para que o camisa 9 marcasse pela primeira vez. O atleta também destacou o empenho do grupo na partida contra o Tombense.

– Tava na hora de fazer um golzinho. Todo mundo tava tentando, torcendo pra ele fazer o gol. Em um jogo difícil, Fred consegue fazer o gol dele e ajudar o time a virar.Acho que a gente mereceu o resultado pela intensidade que botamos no jogo.

O Cruzeiro terá um jogo importante semana que vem. A Raposaenfrentará o América, que também briga pela liderança do Campeonato Mineiro, no domingo. O confronto será no Mineirão, às 17h.

حسم المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي يوفنتوس، ماسيماليانو أليجري، موقف آنخل دي ماريا من مباراة باريس سان جيرمان في الجولة السادسة من مجموعات دوري أبطال أوروبا.

ويلتقي يوفنتوس وباريس سان جيرمان غدًا، الأربعاء، في تمام الساعة العاشرة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة” على ملعب “أليانز” في مدينة “تورينو”.

وخرج الفريق الإيطالي من دوري أبطال أوروبا وسينتقل للمشاركة في الدوري الأوروبي بعد احتلاله المركز الثالث خلف باريس سان جيرمان وبنفيكا بالمجموعة الثامنة.

Loots Bosman scored his second half century in the competition and former Somerset batsman Wes Durston hit two sixes and seven fours in an unbeaten 71 from 53 balls.Derbyshire were only five short of their biggest Twenty20 score at Derby before rain forced the umpires to take the players off the field and resulted in the North Group match being abandoned. Collingwood was the only bowler to trim the Falcons’ wings as his two England team-mates Steve Harmison and Liam Plunkett came in for some rough treatment.Plunkett went for 18 off one of his four overs which cost 40 while John Sadler dispatched Harmison for two sixes in three balls over mid-wicket before the rain arrived. Durston followed his explosive century at Trent Bridge on Friday with another impressive display of clean hitting in an opening stand of 89 with Bosman.The South African cut Harmison for six and also smashed nine fours in a 32-ball 57 before he was run out going for a second by Plunkett’s throw from long on in Collingwood’s first over. Although Durston lifted Collingwood over long on for six, it was the only boundary off the England all-rounder who cleverly took the pace off the ball to restrict the batsmen.But the rest of the Dynamos attack suffered as Greg Smith and Robin Peterson also cleared the ropes to take the Falcons to what was their second highest Twenty20 total on home soil. واستضاف ملعب “الاتحاد” مباراة الفريقين في الجولة الخامسة عشر من البريميرليج، حيث فاز مانشستر سيتي بهدفين مقابل هدف.

ويعود الفضل في ذلك الفوز إلى الهدف القاتل الذي سجله هالاند، في الدقيقة 94، من ركلة جزاء.

وقال هالاند في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “بي بي سي” العالمية: “إنه أمر رائع، كنت متوترًا من ركلة الجزاء، كانت واحدة من أكثر اللحظات توترًا في حياتي، ولكنها كانت رائعة”.

وأضاف: “ركلة جزاء في الدقيقة الأخيرة، بالطبع سأكون متوترًا، لكن شعور رائع، أنا أحب ذلك، لقد تعرضت للإصابة منذ أسبوع ومن المهم حقًا الفوز”.

Leeds United are plotting a late move for long-time transfer target Lewis O’Brien before Monday’s deadline…

What’s the word?

That’s according to The Sun on Sunday [30/01, page 62], who claim that the Whites will ‘try again’ to sign the Huddersfield Town midfielder after missing out on him during the summer.

Leeds are yet to conduct any business this January transfer window and are in desperate need of additions to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.

It’s believed that the Yorkshire giants are prepared to pay his £10m release clause ahead of the deadline in a little over 24 hours’ time. The 23-year-old only signed a new deal at the John Smith’s Stadium last year.

Late business?

United have been left frustrated in their attempts to sign Brenden Aaronson from RB Salzburg this month. After having bids of £15m and £20m rejected by the Austrian champions, it appears their attentions have turned elsewhere towards an alternative.

O’Brien has been a crucial part of the Terriers’ fine form in the Championship this season as they battle for a place amongst the playoffs.

As per WhoScored, he is their highest-rated player for the season so far, averaging a rating of 7.11. He also leads the squad for tackles (2.7 per game) and dribbles (2.1 per game), which suggests he’s the main man in winning back possession and driving the team forward.

Oh, how Marcelo Bielsa could do with that right now – not at least because of the injury crisis at Thorp Arch, in which star midfielder Kalvin Phillips is out until March, at the earliest.

Only Stuart Dallas is managing more tackles in midfield this season, though some of that number must be attributed to the fact that he has often filled in at full-back, whilst it’s just Raphinha putting up more successful dribbles, which is understandable, also via WhoScored.

“It won’t be long before Lewis O’Brien is playing in the Premier League. He has got the lot. Easy to see why Leeds like him. Would fit seamlessly into their midfield,” recently claimed YorkshireLive reporter Dom Howson.

Elsewhere, former Leeds assistant Carlos Corberan, who is O’Brien’s manager at Huddersfield, deemed him to be a “very special” talent.

On the above evidence, the 23-year-old beast would be a fine addition to Bielsa’s squad and ultimately, it’s one he desperately needs right now. Orta and co must get it done and for just £10m, that’s an absolute steal in this day and age.
