WHAT BECKHAM SAID
Inter Miami now have their sights set on ultimate MLS Cup glory, with Beckham telling those in attendance after a 6-2 mauling of the New England Revolution that saw Messi score an 11-minute hat-trick: “This was always about creating history for Miami. This was always about our family, La Familia, the people in this stadium, the people in this city.
“Tonight is about you guys, because you supported us through the tough times, and you're supporting us through the good times. Let's make this a great year – an even better year than it already is. It’s already a special club. Let's get ready for the playoffs.”
The transfer window is right around the corner, and after a Premier League season full of ups and downs, Tottenham Hotspur has a few months to reinforce and improve the team ahead of another gruelling campaign to secure a Champions League spot.
Ange Postecoglou looks like the man for the job so far, but with six teams scoring more goals than his own last year, he could do with some attacking additions from Daniel Levy and Co.
Tottenham ace Dejan Kulusevski.
Luckily for the Australian, recent reports suggest that could be precisely what he gets in the coming weeks, as the latest player touted for a move to N17 is an incredibly exciting winger who could well spell trouble for Dejan Kulusevski's place in the team.
Tottenham Hotspur transfer news
According to a recent report from Spanish publication AS, Tottenham are one of several clubs interested in signing Girona's incredibly exciting winger, Viktor Tsygankov, this summer.
Unfortunately for the Lilywhites, the report has also revealed that North London rivals Arsenal and Serie A giants AC Milan are both keen on the player and have already approached the Spanish side.
That said, while they might not be favourites to land the Ukrainian international, AS's claim that he has a 'termination' clause in his current contract valued at just €30m – £26m – means that they still have a chance to land the wideman.
So, while it might prove challenging, the costs aren't astronomically high, and Levy and Co should be doing all they can to get this deal done and beat the Gunners to the talented winger, even if it could impact Kulusevski's future in the team.
How Tsygankov compares to Kulusevski
Now, it should be said that Kulusevski is an incredibly talented footballer, and when he's at his best, he can be one of the most entertaining wingers to watch in the Premier League. However, over the last couple of years, his pure output has not quite matched up with his talent.
Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski celebrates
For example, last season, he scored just two goals and provided eight assists in 37 games for Spurs, which equates to a goal involvement every 3.7 games.
This season, he did slightly better, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 29 games, equating to a goal involvement every 3.5 games.

In contrast, Tsygankov scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 42 games last year, which is a goal involvement every 1.75 games, before scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in 34 games in 2023/24, which comes out to a goal involvement every 2.26 games.
However, it's not just in raw output where the 26-year-old comes out ahead, but also in their underlying numbers.

Ultimately, with the "outrageous" Tsygankov, as talent scout Jacek Kulig dubbed him, outperforming Kulusevski in both raw output and underlying numbers, bringing him to the white half of North London this summer should be a priority for Levy and Co, especially at just £26m.

Per the Daily Mail, City appear to have scored a point over the Premier League in their legal battle over APT rules. A vote on a potential amendment to the system was dropped from the meeting that took place on Thursday.

The hearing is taking place in complete secret but the Mail reports that clubs were going to discuss potential amendments to APT rules, which govern how much sponsors can pay to clubs after entering into agreements with them. The vote was removed before the meeting could start, though, in what may be a hint that City have been successful in their legal challenge.

Celtic are reportedly ahead of Rangers in the battle to sign an impressive player who "does everything" on the pitch, but Premier League clubs are also thought to be keen.
Celtic cup final & transfer news
The Hoops are preparing for their final game of a long and successful season this weekend, with one more trophy up for grabs after their Scottish Premiership title success. Brendan Rodgers' side take on Rangers in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday afternoon, as they look to get one over on their rivals once again.
Once the dust has settled after the campaign, attention will primarily turn to the transfer market this summer, as Celtic look to make an already impressive squad even more formidable.
The agent of Shakhtar Donetsk full-back Irakli Azarovi has claimed that the Hoops want to seal a move for him at the end of the season, with interest also emerging from France and Italy. The 22-year-old is an 18-time capped Georgia international, and could provide strong competition at left-back.
Joe Hart's retirement this summer means it is imperative that a new goalkeeper comes in, too, and VfL Wolfsburg stopper Koen Casteels has emerged as one strong target. He is far from the only option, however, and some reports have linked Liverpool ace Caoimhin Kelleher with a switch to Parkhead, should he want to stop being an understudy to Alisson at Anfield.
Celtic eyeing forward who "does everything"
According to a new transfer update from FotMob, Celtic are interested in signing Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski in the summer window.
The report states that the Hoops are "ahead of arch-rivals Rangers in the race" to snap up the 24-year-old, but it may not be easy for them to get their man. That's because a "host of clubs across the European continent are closely following" him, with "at least five of them expressing serious interest". His "preference is to move to the English Premier League".
Bojan Miovski for North Macedonia.
Miovski is a mouthwatering option for Celtic this summer, with the North Macedonia international impressing so much for Aberdeen, proving to be one of the standout attacking players in the Scottish Premiership this season. He scored 16 times in the competition in 2023/24, with only three individuals bagging more, one of which was Matt O'Riley (18).
Former Scotland international Billy Dodds heaped praise on the striker earlier in the campaign, saying: "I really like Miovski. How he played against England, you’re stepping up the levels and notching up the standard of football, then seeing him today, seeing him throughout the season. You get some people who don’t join in the game, don’t link up, but score goals. Others you see not scoring goals but they link up. This guy does everything."
Celtic can sell Bernabei by signing a star who "looks like Ronaldo"
The Hoops could have an opportunity to sign the talented young defender this summer.
ByDan Emery May 23, 2024
With O'Riley's future up in the air, and the Dane not a striker anyway, more firepower is required at Celtic this summer, and if Rangers end up signing Lawrence Shankland from Hearts, as has been mooted, Miovski could be the perfect alternative for the Hoops.
Wolves have been handed a boost in their pursuit of one of their targets after his manager admitted he is "asking" to leave the club this summer.
O'Neil hoping for change

The English manager is reported on the verge of penning a new contract at Molineux, but has admitted that there is still plenty of uncertainty heading into the summer.
“My obvious hope is that we all are on the same page and that we can push things forward in a direction that we’re all looking to.
“But until those sort of discussions have taken place for the club, I’m not entirely sure how much we’ll be able to do or how much of my ideas and some of the stuff that I look to do over the summer will be possible with the financial situation.
“I don’t think there’ll be money available to us if nobody leaves.
“So if we decided not to sell a big player, there may be some little bits and pieces that we can do and there are players out on loan that have value that we might be able to do some bits with."
Pedro Neto and Rayan Ait-Nouri have both been linked with moves away from the Old Gold this summer, while Max Kilman is thought to be on the radar of Manchester United. Should any of the trio depart, they will likely net the club massive fees, which could be reinvested in the playing squad.
Bento on the radar
Wolves have previously been touted as a potential landing spot for Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento, who has impressed in the Brazilian top flight and is expected to leave this summer. Now, they have been handed a boost on that front, after his own manager admitted that he is expected to depart.
Speaking to the media after their latest game, in which the Brazil international saved a penalty, Cuca revealed that the goalkeeper is asking to leave.
"Unfortunately or fortunately, we will soon lose Bento. He's asking for a ticket [out of Brazil], and that's what the players are looking for: a place in Europe to make a nest egg and play in the world's main championships. He’s earning it,”he said.
Bento for Athletico Paranaense.
Currently earning just £18,000 per week in Brazil, Bento is likely to double his wages at least when he makes the move to Europe.
Should Wolves want to land him, they will have to fight off interest from Serie A champions Inter Milan as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea, though an unchallenged no.1 spot may well be able to sway him into picking the Midlands outfit over both sides.
However, Wolves are likely to need to sell players before they make any move, which may allow other clubs to seize the early initiative.

It's been a decent week for Arsenal in the Premier League. Their draw away to Manchester City and wins at home to Luton Town have kept them within touching distance of league leaders Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta's side will need to win most, if not all, of their remaining games to lift the title this season, but with their goalscoring form since the turn of the year, that's entirely possible.
However, at the start of next term, Gabriel Jesus could find his game time more limited; at least, that looks like it could be the case based on recent reports linking the club to a new number nine who has been compared to Harry Kane in the past.
Latest Arsenal transfer news
According to a recent report from the Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal are among several top fight clubs across Europe interested in signing Bologna's talented striker, Joshua Zirkzee, this summer.
Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee
The report revealed that while AC Milan would likely be the forward's preferred destination, he would not be opposed to moving to the Premier League, with both the Gunners and Manchester United being the most interested English clubs.
Bayern Munich has a buyback clause worth around €40m – £34m – but it appears clear that neither party is interested in making that happen, so the Rossoblu will be able to name their price once the window opens.
Manchester United transfer target Joshua Zirkzee in action in Serie A.
The Italian report claims that Bologna considers Zirkzee's situation similar to Rasmus Hojlund's last summer. So, a price tag of around €75m has been discussed for clubs outside of Italy, which comes to about £64m. While that would be a serious investment from Arsenal, he might just be worth it.
How Zirkzee compares to Jesus
So the first and arguably most important thing to consider with any new potential striker signing is how their output compares to the forward they could replace, and in this case, Zirkzee comes out just ahead.

Okay, so what about their underlying numbers, then? Well, here it is a lot closer, and it's actually the Brazilian who just about edges it in the most relevant metrics for a starting number nine.

For example, the former Manchester City ace produces higher expected goals and assists figure, provides more actual assists, completes more progressive carries, and takes more shots on target per 90.
However, it isn't all that one-sided, as Bologna's "insane athlete", as data analyst Ben Mattinson described him, scores more goals, completes more progressive passes, and has a better conversion rate from his shots on target, all per 90.
Moreover, while it seems from the surface that Jesus is the better creator, Mattinson has argued that it is the ineffective attack of Bologna that is hampering the 6 foot 4 titan's creative numbers and that, in reality, his "his intelligence as a creator & facilitator is out of this world."
The respected analyst has drawn comparisons to former Tottenham Hotspur forward Kane, in that Zirkzee is burdened with the vast majority of the creative work in his current side and if he was placed in a team with goalscoring wingers and midfielders, his "productivity would sky-rocket."
Arsenal could sign the ideal Martinelli upgrade in "on fire" £26m ace
The incredible talent would be the perfect competition for the Brazilian.
ByJack Salveson Holmes Apr 5, 2024
Ultimately, Arsenal have a great forward in Jesus, and he's likely to play some sort of role at the club for a number of years to come, but if they have the opportunity to sign Zirkzee this summer and bring him into a team with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka out wide, they absolutely should.
Having seen the havoc that Kane – who boasts 213 Premier League goals – has wreaked across north London, snapping up a similar figure would be a welcome treat for the Emirates side.
