According to a report from , the club received the final construction certificate for the first phase of the stadium's redevelopment on Monday. This crucial step keeps the possibility of a return to their iconic home alive, though it is contingent on a final inspection by the Barcelona City Council scheduled for Tuesday.

The club's temporary home for the 2024-25 season, the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Montjuic, is unavailable for the Valencia fixture weekend as it is hosting a Post Malone concert two days before the game is scheduled. Furthermore, according to reports from , La Liga will not grant Barcelona's request to reverse the fixture and play it at Valencia's Mestalla stadium, as league rules prohibit altering the calendar order. This has left the Blaugrana scrambling for a venue, with Girona's Montilivi stadium being considered the most viable backup plan.

The outcome of this visit will be the decisive factor in whether the club can obtain the necessary permits and activity license to host the Valencia match at the Camp Nou. A tight deadline looms, as by Thursday, August 28, the club must also confirm their chosen home stadium to UEFA ahead of the Champions League group stage draw. If the Camp Nou is not approved in time, Hansi Flick's side will have to finalise an agreement to play at an alternative venue, likely Montilivi, for their long-awaited home debut.

A match last season has had costly repercussions for Bayern Munich. The reason for this is that the kick-off was delayed by 37 seconds in their home game against Mainz on matchday 31. That 37-second delay will now cost the German record champions €35,000. This is according to a ruling by the DFB Sports Court.

According to the ruling, "the equipment check of the Bayern players" did not take place at 3:25:30 PM on that day, "but only at 3:27:00 PM, thus with a delay of 1:30 minutes." The statement said: "This delay, for which FC Bayern Munich is responsible under Section 14a of the DFL rules of play, also caused the kick-off to be delayed by 37 seconds."

According to , Bayern arguedthat the delay was caused by the Mainz players gathering before kick-off. Their efforts to defend themselves went in vain, as the DFB Sports Court pointed out that this only took 50 seconds – "and thus 15 seconds less than allowed for in the schedule."

After back to back quiet transfer windows, Liverpool are set to be incredibly busy this summer. There are also concerns over Diogo Jota, who like Chiesa has struggled for fitness, with injuries restricting him to just seven starts this season in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old was attracting interest from Maresca’s side last summer as an option, but he eventually elected to make the switch down south for guaranteed first-team football after being left out in the cold by Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, in favour of David Raya.

Described as “phenomenal” at times by David Seaman, Ramsdale made 89 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners before leaving last year. As of now, it is unclear how much Southampton would demand to sell if they’re relegated.
